Manager Rob Edwards has said he feels that Tranmere have had a good and productive week in training ahead of the Hartlepool game this weekend.

With the gaffer desperate to see a reaction following our start to the season and our defeat to Accrington Stanley especially at the last time of asking, he told the Official Site that he was quietly confident it would click for us this weekend.

‘We’ve had plenty of things we’ve worked on and spoken about and a few of the older players played for the reserves on Tuesday. It has been a good training week, the pitches are good and we’ve been able to do a lot of work.’

Edwards goes on to say that he’s not someone who likes to let things linger, so he had his talk, and everybody has tried to get back to being positive and he knows the players are determined to get themselves sorted, start winning and performing regularly and give us a good season.

‘There’s always positives, and always things to learn from, hopefully we’re learning quickly. We’ve conceded too many goals so we’ve worked on that. We’re looking forward to the game.’
