Manager Rob Edwards has confirmed he is likely to make changes to the starting eleven for the Capital One Cup game on Tuesday against Nottingham Forest.

It’s likely we will be without centre half Marcus Holness after he picked up a hamstring injury in the opener again York but there are no fresh injury problems for the gaffer ahead of the game.

‘There’s a few bumps and bruises but no other serious knocks. Matt Gill had a bang on his knee and missed a couple of days but he comes into contention for Tuesday. I think under the stresses and strains of a competitive game you see people’s strengths and weaknesses. I might make a couple of changes, there’s no point in having players in the squad and not giving them a chance.’

Our goalscorer from the league opener against York, James Rowe has also been talking about the cup game and his opening day strike.

The 22 year old explained to the Official Site.

‘Goals are scored in the box so if you get yourself in the box, the ball is going to bounce down to you and then it’s just about taking your chance then. We stuck in well and I think we got a good point in the end.’

With Rowe coming off the bench in the game he admits it was disappointing not to start but he’s hoping he did enough to earn a place in the eleven now when we face Nottingham Forest.

‘It’d be nice to start against Forest, but it’s about he squad and hopefully we can put in a good performance and get a win.’
