Manager Rob Edwards has today brought in Swindon Town striker George Barker on loan.

The 23 year old began his professional career at Brighton and Hove Albion and having spent time on loan at Newport County, he moved on to Swindon in January 2013 for an undisclosed fee.

In 2014-15 he has so far made seven appearances for the club.

Speaking to the Official Site Edwards said of the signing.

‘I’m pleased to be able to bring George to the club. With Cole Stockton injured our options in attack have been reduced. George will give us pace up front and will cause opposition defenders problems.’

Barker joins us initially for a month and goes into contention for the game against Plymouth Argyle this weekend.
