Recently sacked Tranmere boss John Barnes has showed his passion to get back in to football management by applying for the Rwanda job.

Before joining Rovers in the summer, Barnes had a successful spell in International management with Jamaica and has handed his CV for the job in Rwanda.

Rwandan sports minister Joseph Habineza said: ‘John Barnes has contacted us about the job. We have his CV, and we are weighing up the possibilities.’

Newspapers such as the Daily Mirror have reported Barnes being interested in the vacancy and after his recent declaration of him being bankrupt it would not surprise me to see him accept any job to get out of his financial crisis.
