John Barnes said his side lost there shape in the second half and must be more composed.

Tranmere took the lead at Gigg Lane within just four minutes thanks to an excellent goal by Craig Curran.

However Bury equalised in the second half through David Worral, then former Tranmere man Mike Jones proved a point to Rovers by scoring to put Bury 2-1 up in the 81st minute.

After the game Barnes admitted he was disappointed by the negativity shown by the Tranmere faithful as the fans were calling for his head from the first minute to the last.

Barnes said:

‘We have to play with more composure. In the second half we lost our shape.’

‘The fans did well to come out on a wet night to start calling for my head before the game even starts is their prerogative.

When the lads were 1-0 up they were still on my back. If we were losing and not playing well then fine but for the fans to have a negative attitude before the game even kicks off is disappointing.”

Tranmere next take on Stockport County which is live on SkySports, probably a chance for the nation to laugh at us, however I do agree with Barnes when he talks about the negativity from our supporters, he’s right we should get behind the team especially when we are a goal up, and then if the performance is bad and we lose then do the ‘booing.
