With the month of May now behind us, new manager Gary Brabin has reflected on a very busy first calender month at Prenton Park.

Having joined at the beginning of last month, work has been underway on both the playing squad for the coming 2015-16 Conference campaign as we bid to gain promotion back to the Football League at the first time of asking, but Brabin also explained to the Official Site that it wasn’t just signings that had kept him occupied it was plans for training schedules, plans for pre season friendlies and so on as he wants everything geared to having the team in the best possible condition moving forward.

‘It’s been non-stop, and that’s not just signing players, it’s preparing pre-season, making sure we have the right type of games and the right workload etc. I want to give ourselves the best chance for when the season starts that we hit the ground running. But I’m under no illusion as to how difficult it is going to be.’

Brabin also said that with him signing five already he would like the majority of his targets to be in place for pre season training so they all have as long as possible to learn about him and adjust to his tactics as well as starting to form partnerships with other players.

However with that in mind, he also knows there’s no sense in panicking to get somebody in just to fill a number because the signings have to be right and if that means patience then it means patience – especially when it came to the goalkeeper position.

‘It would be unfair to say that we’ll go into the season with the two young goalkeepers. I’ve not seen a lot of them but I’ve heard good things about them. We are looking for a keeper but we’re in the beginning of June, the season only finished last week! I’m delighted with what I’ve got over the line so far but I won’t be rushed into decisions and the goalkeeping one is certainly one of those.’

This site is looking for an editor (at least a contributor or blogger), so if you’re a fan that can offer us a genuine opinion we would love to share it with the masses!
