Goalkeeper Peter Brezovan has moved to Southport for a loan deal for a month.

The 35 year old joined Tranmere back in September following his release by Championship side Brighton and Hove Albion.

Since coming into Prenton Park he has made seven appearances in total across all competitions but is playing second fiddle to Owain fon Williams.

He heads out to Southport to get some more regular first team action under his belt and Tranmere do have a 24 hour recall clause in the loan deal if needed.

Manager Micky Adams explained.

‘Peter needs to be playing games but the form of Owan has kept him out of our side. This loan will give him time on the pitch and allow us to give our young goalkeepers more experience in the first team squad.’

Brezovan now joins striker George Donnelly out at Southport, as he is already there on a loan spell of his own.
