Manager Rob Edwards has today signed West Ham winger Matthias Fanimo on a youth loan.

The deal for the 20 year old is still subject to Premier League clearance and he has come through their youth ranks and represented England at U16, 17 and 18 levels.

Speaking to the Official Site Edwards said of the capture.

‘Matthias is a player we’ve been watching for a while and I’m pleased to be able to bring him to Tranmere. We’ve signed him on a youth loan so he can spend some time with us and hopefully we can help him develop and he can help us on the pitch.’

Fanimo himself said he was pleased to get the loan spell sorted and he’s looking forward to hopefully impressing whilst he’s with us, and he’s certainly pleased that Tranmere and Rob Edwards showed so much interest in him so with them putting faith in him to come here, develop and do a job, he wants to repay that faith now.
