Daz King site journalist of Vital Leeds United speaks as Tranmere take on Leeds United at Elland Road this saturday.

1)So, a quick summary of your season so far?

Disappointing after a decent start, we was in the top two in November then went on a terrible run that eventually cost Gary McAllister his job.

Our defence has been shocking for most of the season, inability to keep a clean sheet was costing us dear. We seem to have rectified that in recent months and the recent acquisition of Sam Sodje as bolstered it.

2)Do you believe the team have what it takes to go up?

With the squad that we have we shouldn`t be struggling to make the Play Off`s, whatever happens this season there needs to be a huge clearout at the end of the season. We have far too many players who have joined Leeds United just for an easy pay day.

What`s more worrying is if we don`t go up this season I think Leeds will struggle to hold onto the likes of Beckford and Delph and quite a few more season`s in League One could be on the agenda.

3)What did you think of former Leeds striker Ian Moore during his time at United?

Very stop start career, he hardly played under Kevin Blackwell who had a tendency to sign lots of strikers so never got a look in.

Played a bit more under Dennis Wise but wasn`t scoring many goals.

He does seem to like playing against Leeds and showing us what he really was capable of, often scores against us.

4)Are you happy with Simon Grayson in charge?

He`s settling in nicely now, he`s got a good coaching team with him in Glynn Snodin and Ian Miller. Like I have already said the progress of the club depends on us going up this year, whatever happens he`s going to have a busy summer.

5)Which player should we be looking out for from your side?

Robert Snodgrass, since finally breaking into the side in late November on a regular basis he`s probably been the most consistent player we have. Play`s on the right wing, chips in with a few goals and is the dead ball specialist.

6)And who should we be looking to exploit?

At the moment we have a good strong unit with the midfield dropping back to help the defence out when needed. Jonathan Douglas has been playing at right back recently when he`s normally a midfielder, was given a hard time by Lloyd Dyer at Leicester

7)Which player in League One has impressed you most so far this season

Ricky Lambert – Bristol Rovers, continues to score goals for Rovers, no disrespect to them but they are usually a mid table to lower end of the table team. I am surprised they have managed to hold onto him for so long.

8)What are your realistic hopes for the future?

Like I have already said, it all depends on success this season, we go up we could keep some of our main players, lose and you cannot expect them to stay in League One next season.

If we do go up there are a lot of players who need to go.

9)Do you think Tranmere will get a play off place ahead of Scunthorpe?

A lot hangs on Saturday`s game, you beat us and I think you could finish above us. Scunthorpe maybe still a bit deflated after losing the JPT at Wembley and they have a hard run in, MK Dons, Leicester and you still to play.

10)Finally, your match prediction?

A draw will actually do Leeds on Saturday with the goal difference we have over you it would mean us only having to win one of our final two games to secure a play off spot. We are aiming for a club record tenth home win in a row so that could also add a little pressure. I hope Jermaine Beckford is back on Saturday, we miss his goals especially at Elland Road (12 in his last seven games).

I think it will be a tight nervy game and I wouldn`t be surprised to see it finish 1-1.
