A mini Tranmere Rovers round up covering the latest developments at Prenton Park.

Manager Gary Brabin has made his backroom decisions since arriving at the club over the summer and goalkeeping coach Dave Timmins and existing assistant manager Alan Rogers will now depart the club ahead of the 2015-16 season.

Marc Laird has now left the club to join League Two Yeovil Town on a one year deal.

He arrived at the club last summer, and went on to make 39 appearances for us in our unfortunate relegation campaign.

Four Academy graduates have now penned their first professional deals at the club.

Luke Pilling, Mitch Duggan, Ben Jago and Evan Gumbs have all now put pen to paper on 12 month deals having been handed them over the summer.

Manager Gary Brabin said of their potential.

‘I`ve heard good things about the four young lads and I`m pleased they`ve all signed up for next season. It`s a big season for them, the first as a professional always is for any player. They`ve got to make the step up to the first team squad where there`s more pressure for results and more people watching matches. Three of them have already made their first team debuts so they`ve had a little insight into what they can expect. I`m sure they`re all desperate to get started and I hope they all have really good seasons.’

Finally, defender Matt Hill has penned a new six month deal with the club.

The 34 year old initially signed non contract terms last summer before penning a permanent deal lasting until the end of the 2014-15 campaign, but the left back missed the majority of the season with an Achilles injury but he did recover earlier than expected to play a part in the final four games of the campaign.

Manager Gary Brabin said of the left back’s short term extension.

‘I`m pleased Matt has decided to stay and help drive the Club forward.’

Hill added for himself.

‘I`m glad to be staying at Tranmere and can`t wait to get started now. I`ve spoken to the Manager quite a bit over the summer and look forward to working for him and hopefully help the Club have a really good season.’
