Danny Holmes has said he feels that the catalyst for the clubs’ recent improvement was the game at Bradford last month, and now he wants us to take that form into this weekends FA Cup campaign and give the fans something else to smile about.

Tranmere’s last five games have resulted in two wins and two draws and the defender told the Official Site that everybody had taken a good confidence boost from the Bradford game given how they have been playing and where they are in the league, and ultimately the game sparked us a bit and we haven’t really looked back in terms of some form and consistency and whilst the players had belief in theirselves, that win was proof they can compete with some of the best in this division and it was about time they did.

‘Going there gave us a park and showed us that we are good enough. Having five in the middle gives us a bit more protection, I think we’ve picked our performances up well.’

Holmes says that Accrington have got themselves on a good run at the moment, and with them turning their own form like Tranmere in many ways, it’s going to be a tough game and Rovers can’t take the opposition lightly but everyone wants to go on a run in the Cup to keep the victories coming now and that’s what they’ll be aiming to do.
