Midfielder Steven Jennings has now signed a new 12 month contract with Tranmere Rovers.

The 30 year old returned to Prenton Park for the third time last October and has now made 288 appearances in our shirt.

Speaking to the Official Site after the deal was done, the experienced Jennings explained.

‘I want to make right the wrongs of the last couple of seasons, I want to help Tranmere get back in the league and I want to give the fans something to cheer about because they deserve it for the support they’ve given us. Tranmere has been a massive part of my career and I`ll do everything I can to help the Club return to where it belongs. If I had left the Club now I would have always felt I had unfinished business here.’

Manager Gary Brabin added for himself.

‘I`m really pleased to keep Steven at the Club. He leads by example in midfield and having spoken to him at length over the past couple of weeks, I can see how determined he is to be a part of a successful team here. I want him to channel the disappointment of last season to help move us forward.’
