Warren Joyce has left Tranmere, despite still being under contract with the Whites.

The Official site has announced that the Centre of Excellence manager has departed Prenton Park to become a coach at Royal Antwerp in Belgium.

He went without permission, failing to honour his contract and duties to the club, especially to the lads within the Youth set-up itself.

Tranmere has said that the matter is in the hands of the Club Solicitor and The FA.

Given a job by former Rovers Boss Brian Little, Joyce has barely been at the club a year.

The former Leeds United Coach may have had a bit to do with the arrival of Shane Sherriff in the summer, as the Aussie arrived from Aarhus after a stint at Leeds himself (saying that, that may just be a coincidence). Let’s just hope that Shane doesn’t leave for Belgium too after his great start on the Wirral.

Meanwhile, in other news, Chester City have been ordered to pay Rovers £15,000 (plus 10% of any future sell on fee above this figure) for defender Paul Linwood.

Local lad Linwood left for the Deva Stadium in the summer after making more than 50 appearances for the Whites. The fee was decided after a tribunal for the player, who was out of contract but still under the age of 23.
