Midfielder Jason Koumas has been ruled out of tomorrow’s game against Dagenham and Redbridge after picking up an Achilles injury.

The experienced player also missed our midweek Johnstone’s Paint Trophy loss to Walsall, joining goalkeeper Peter Brezovan in the stands for the match and speaking to the Official Site manager Micky Adams confirmed he wouldn’t return in time for this one either.

‘Jason has had an ongoing Achilles problem for a number of weeks and I think he even had it last season. That’s flared up again, he was in the squad on Tuesday morning and pulled out so he wasn’t in the 16 and he won’t feature at Dagenham.’

Adams says that he needs a few weeks of rest so the problem can clear up but the club are trying to get to the bottom of it so it doesn’t keep returning and holding him back.

He also ruled out Brezovan again as he’s injured his finger.

The only other doubt is on loan Shamir Fenelon who didn’t train yesterday as he’s picked up an illness, but it’s hoped he will recover for the weekend.
