Caretaker boss Les Parry was delighted with his side`s performance last night; Tranmere won the match 2-0 to make it two wins in eight days for Rovers.

Speaking to the media after the match Les was proud of the efforts shown by the players. The win should boost confidence into the squad as Tranmere can now begin a fight to get out of the relegation zones.

Parry stated the players dedicated the win to Ryan Fraughan`s mum who sadly passed away last weekend.

Parry told Tranmere Player:

‘It was by far the best performance of the season. I`m a bit disappointed for the lads that we only won 2-0. Every single player pulled their weight.’

Parry`s men next take on Aldershot in the FA cup this weekend; if Rovers win they will be through to the 3rd round of the competition which could potentially see Tranmere face a Premier League opposition.
