Despite Tranmere fighting back to secure a point against Crawley today, Ronnie Moore was not a happy man come full time.

Speaking to the Official Site after somewhat composing himself, the manager said of the performance and our defensive showing.

‘I said it wasn’t going to be a 0-0, I just knew. We’ve given them two goals again from corners. One striker can’t pick up, he comes off and then the other striker can’t pick up. You wouldn’t believe it but we’ve worked and worked and worked on set pieces. Sodje is six foot two, how can he get beaten by somebody? It’s scandalous for me and he’s let everyone down and then Jean-Louis comes on and does the same thing.’

The fighting spirit shown to get back into the match was something Ronnie was Moore happy with though.

‘We showed a lot of guts and came back and grinded out a result. We’ve got to be better and we’ve got to set the tempo. We’ve thrown points away, I think we’ve got better players than last year but at this present time we haven’t got a better team.’
