Moore : ‘It’s a game we can win.’

Moore Pre Match MK Dons (H)

Ronnie Moore believes his side have what it takes to beat high flying MK Dons today and has warned the Dons by saying they’ll see a completely different side to the one on earlier this season when Rovers slumped to a 1-0 defeat at Stadium MK.

Moore told TRANMERE WORLD:

‘They’re in second spot because they’ve consistently won games this season. They’re a good counter attacking side and they’ll try and hit you on the break. We’ve got to be disciplined and make sure that whatever formation we play that we have a holding midfield player so we don’t get caught out on the break.

‘We know it will be a really tough game, but it’s a game we can win. We’re at home and we’ll have to take the game to them. They’ll see a completely different side to the one they played when they were at home. If we perform the way we have in the vast majority of our home games then let them worry about us.’

Meanwhile Moore also said that ‘keeper Danny Coyne is to miss out again and influential defender Ian Goodison is a doubt.

He continued:

‘We’ll see how Goodison is for the weekend. He’s going to train with Les at Raby today and then we’ll take it from there. At the present time it’s probably 70-30 that he won’t play. I know Ian Goodison, and if Ian Goodison can play he’ll play. He doesn’t like missing games.

‘Danny Coyne will definitely be missing again but will probably be alright for the Swindon game. John Achterberg has come in and made some tremendous saves.’
