Ronnie Moore has said he was pleased with the overall performance of the team in the game against Bournemouth.

Speaking to the Official Site following the 0-0 draw, and the debut of goalkeeper Jason Mooney, the manager said of the game.

‘I thought it was a good performance. I think we’ve given as good as they have to us. There weren’t many chances, and you can still see our problem is trying to score goals, but we’ve knuckled down and battled against a really good team. Jason has done well and made the saves when he had to. He dominated his box and I’m pleased for him.’

Moore said that he will be meeting with players next week to organise the squad for next season, but he doesn’t believe that Zoumana Bakayogo or Owain fon Williams will be at the club next season.

‘The loan players have done well. We’ve shook their hands and wished them well. We’ll have a meeting on Monday where I’ll pull one or two we need to let go and we’re still waiting to hear on Zoom and Fonners. Championship clubs are looking at them, I think they’ll be off.’

Moore restates the importance of signing a hungry striker in the summer so we can kick on ourselves and improve.
