The Gaffer’s post match reaction
Ronnie Moore was delighted to see his side beat Bristol Rovers 2-0 infront of 8119 at Prenton Park.
Rovers took the lead via a Aaron Creswell free kick, his first goal of his career then his son Ian Moore doubled the lead in the second half thanks to fine work from Charlie Barnett.
Moore told the club’s official website after the game:
‘We had to do our job and we did it comfortably. Aaron is good at free kicks and he’s confident, so it was nice for him to get it. But while it’s only 1-0 it only needs one slip up, so it was nice to see Charlie’s change of pace and Ian finish for the second.
‘As a back four we’ve done well and that’s three clean sheets in a row. Five more of them and we’ll be alright. I’m proud of the lads, they’ve given everything and worked their socks off.
‘The lads will have a couple of days off to rest their legs, then we go to Walsall and it’s a game we have to win.
‘We know what it’s about?it’s pressure for everybody. There’s no room for error now. We have to make sure we do our job, be professional and do the right things.’
