Current Tranmere caretaker boss Les Parry is pleased with the effort from his players at Hartlepool despite the defeat at Victoria Park.

Speaking after the match, Parry said he can only take positives from the effort put in.

He told Tranmere Player:

“I said to the lads that I will not react to results but to performances – and that was one of our best of the season. We can only take positives from it.”

The result see’s Tranmere fall to 23rd place in League One and four points adrift from getting out of the relegation zone. Rovers next take on Swindon Town in League One a day which will be special for Tranmere as the club are set to celebrate there 125th anniversary.
