Ronnie Moore and Akpo Sodje have both said that Tranmere need to show improvement and learn from our mistakes as we look to take on Stevenage this weekend.

Stevenage only have four points from their opening five games this season, as Tranmere do so both clubs have been sluggish but the consensus seems to be that Stevenage have been very unlucky in their games so far given their apparent performances, so Ronnie Moore told the Official Site that the players will be have to be ready for a high tempo game, and being the home side we’ve got to go out there and go at them, and show plenty of improvement from our Fleetwood showing.

‘We need to keep the ball better, move it quicker – the tempo of the game wasn’t quick enough for us. We’re at home, we set the tempo and get at them. We have to make sure we give them what they missed on Tuesday.’

Moore knows that some players haven’t quite found their form yet and with how we’ve played so far this season he admits there are some nerves of it ‘going wrong’ again in the dressing room, but he wants the players to get out there, enjoy themselves, and give the crowd something to cheer and get behind so we have the atmosphere to help drive us on aswell.

Akpo Sodje seems to agree and focused on the mistakes we made against Fleetwood, and the mistakes we’ve been making all season, and it’s something he knows that we have to cut out if we are going to get ourselves where we want to be in the league.

‘We have to learn from our mistakes, playing at home, we need to get three points.’

Having made his return from injury against Oldham and figuring in the Fleetwood game, Sodje is now looking to get his own season back on track after admitting his spell on the sidelines was a set back and not how he wanted to begin his life at Tranmere.

It’s certainly going to be a tough encounter and it should be a good game for the fans.
