Injury news and Jake Kirby talks about the game.

Following the three one victory over Coventry yesterday, assistant manager John McMahon has confirmed that Ryan Lowe and Jake Cassidy were both substituted in the game after they had suffered knocks.

Lowe has some trouble around his hip area and is being assessed, and Cassidy nicely took a stud to the top of his chest/throat which left him with breathing difficulties/

Liam Ridehalgh also suffered a dead leg during the game, whereas Steve Jennings jarred his knee in the first half.

Hopefully all four of them will be fine for our next match, but obviously eyes will be kept on all of them to make sure.

As for Jake Kirby, whilst he was delighted to have scored his first ever goal at Prenton Park, he was quick to pass on praise to his team mates for their overall performance on the day.

‘It was a good victory, then lads played well. We went out with confidence from the 5-1 win the last time we played them and we did it again. It’s always great scoring and it’s nice to get two against the same team.’

Kirby knows our next match against Oldham is going to be a toughy, but with the confidence that everyone will have taken from this victory, hopefully we can kick on and pick up another win to help ease us up the table.
