Tranmere Rovers will be given £50,000 due to Birmingham’s promotion to the Premier League. As a result of going straight back up to England`s top division, the Blues miss out on an £11.2m parachute payment and, as a result, all other league clubs will receive a share of this.

All Championship clubs will receive £400,000 with League One clubs getting £50,000 and League Two clubs £30,000.

This fee could double if Reading are promoted via the Championship play-offs as it will mean they, like Birmingham, have been promoted back into the Premier League at the first attempt so fingers crossed for the Royals!

Not sure how far this £50,000 will go but at least we’re £50k better off now.
