Caretaker boss Les Parry has today completed the signing of David Martin on loan from Liverpool on a one month loan.

Martin 23, was recently on loan to Leicester City last season and helped them to the League One title. He first started his career at MK Dons, Liverpool have loaned him out to Accrington Stanley in 2006-7.

With Luke Daniels being sent off on Monday, Tranmere needed a goalkeeper as caretaker boss Les Parry wanted an experienced goalkeeper to come in and cover Daniels.

Speaking to the Club’s official website earlier today, Les Parry said:

‘I’m really pleased to be able to bring a goalkeeper of David’s quality in.

He’s very highly rated and was one of the best goalkeepers in League One last season. He played a lot of games for Leicester City, keeping clean sheets in almost half of them”

David will go straight into the squad for tomorrow’s crucial game v Brighton.
