Tranmere boss Brian Little hopes to keep on-loan defender Simon Francis at the club.
The Sheffield United right-back is due to leave Prenton Park after Saturday’s game against Brentford, but Little hopes to prolong the deal.
‘He’s done really well and we’re looking to extend that for another month at least,’ Little said.
‘We’ve got an agreement with Sheffield United and it just needs to be completed.
‘He’s done well at right-back but if people are injured I’d have no qualms in playing him, or Paul Linwood, at centre-back.’
