Wycombe and ex-England manager Peter Taylor believes his side gave there all in the game and insisted if his side play the way they did against Rovers in there next game he won’t be to dissapointed.

Speaking to Wycombe’s official club website Taylor was proud of his side’s effort but believes his side need to be more prolific infront of goal if they want to get out of the relegation zone in League One.

Taylor went on to say that luck was not on Wycombe’s side and thought it was a frustrating evening at Adams Park. The defeat for Wanderer’s see’s them drop to second bottom of League One.

Speaking to www.wycombewanderers.co.uk the Ex-Brighton manager said:

‘I told them that I thought the second half was good and the easiest thing to do would be to hide, but nobody hid tonight – they tried their damnedest to get a result and to play football.’

Meanwhile supporters from an unofficial Wycombe Wanderer’s message board believe the game was there to be won and thought Rovers gave away the ball cheaply. A anonymous user from www.gasroom.co.uk said:

‘The game was there for the taking early on as Tranmere started so badly, giving the ball away.’
