Ronnie Moore has said he is proud of the players following their performance today, but he’s not happy with the result.

Moore saw Rovers reduced to 10 men after the hour and he believes that straight red was a key moment in the game, but he can’t fault them for giving their all following that.

Speaking to the Official Site following the game, Moore said.

‘I’m proud of them, I thought the ten men gave everything and I can’t ask for more. One idiot let the whole team down. We were so unlucky because we were just about to ring him off. That’s the sickening thing for me. He’d done it before and I told him to stay on his feet.’

Moore says that with eleven on the pitch he believes we’d have won that game as we more than created the chances, but at 10 men it changed against us too much.
