Goalkeeper Peter Brezovan has late this evening signed a one year deal with Tranmere Rovers.

The 34 year old stopper started his career in Slovaki before moving to Swindon Town back in 2006. Having spent three years at the Country Ground he then moved on to Brighton and Hove Albion, spending the last five seasons with them.

He comes to us having played in 138 games as a free agent.

Manager Rob Edwards told the official site about the late capture.

‘I’m delighted to bring Peter to the club, he’s an experienced keeper who has played at Championship and League One level and it gives us good competition for places.’

Edwards goes on to say that with Owain fon Williams and Brezovan now battling it out for the first team shirt, it gives him the freedom to send out Sam Ramsbottom on loan so he can get valuable first team experience now with an eye to the future as the talented youngster still has development to make.
