Ex-Barnsley Academy starlet Luke waterfall has signed for the Rovers today on a one year contract. Ronnie Moore sees him as ‘a very talented defender’.
The strong centre back has featured in Tranmere’s pre season friendlies, and will be seen by most fans as a prospect rather than a starter. However, with three excellent centre backs already in place, the 17 year old seems a talented fourth choice, who Ronnie wouldn’t hesitate in starting should push come to shove.
The signing of Waterfall is a clear indicator that Ronnie is attempting to create a squad with depth as well as assembling a strong starting XI.
