With news that a deal could not be done with Liverpool to extend the deal of Kris Peterson, manager Ronnie Moore has moved quickly to snap up a winger from Everton.

19 year old Matthew Kennedy has joined us on a one month loan deal and comes with very high recommendations indeed.

The player made his debut for Kilmarnock at the tender age of 16, where he then played 14 times before moving to Everton where he became a regular in their U21 side.

He has represented Scotland at U17, U19 and U21 levels and has moved to us in time to be in contention for his debut in the game against Walsall.

Moore said Kennedy is somebody that he has watched a few times and he understands why Everton rate him so highly, and he’d like to thank them for letting him have a spell with us.

The gaffer also describes him as a pacey winger who likes to take on defenders, who always seem to create good chances for his team mates so he’s hoping he can do just that over the coming month.
