The Johnstone’s Paint offers a midweek break from the league calendar for Tranmere as we look to move a step closer to a possible Wembley final with a home game tonight.

Tranmere welcome Carlisle United to Prenton Park tonight in this JPT second round tie.

Joint-top goalscorer Cole Stockton (pelvic injury) will be missing tonight, and for the next 2-3-weeks it seems.

Danny Woodards (foot), Matt Hill (Achilles) and Liam Ridehalgh (ankle) are also out due to injury with West Ham United loanee Matthias Fanimo now returning to his parent club having struggled to feature but the boss has promised to pick a strong side.

Carlisle have doubts over David Amoo (hamstring) and Antony Sweeney (shoulder) but Matty Robson (knee), Courtney Meppen-Walter (knee) and Sean O’Hanlon (toe) remain sidelined.
