Ronnie Moore has said we weren’t clinical enough against Portsmouth and we must do much better in our remaining games.

Speaking to the Official Site following the loss to Portsmouth, the gaffer explained.

‘We were looking at six points over Easter and we end up with nothing. We huffed and puffed today and had a lot of the play in the second half but I felt whoever scored first would win. We had enough of the ball and enough opportunities but we’re taking far too long in front of goal, that’s the disappointing thing. We’ve got in those areas and haven’t punished them and then we got caught with a sucker punch.’

Moore admits it’s disappointing that we’re now running out of games and we are already out of the play off places and he’s hoping this will be a ‘kick up the backside’ the team need but he admits he doesn’t know where the goals are going to come from.
