Ahmed signed for Rovers in the summer of 2007 on a two year deal joining from Huddersfield Town where he made over 40 appearances for the club; however Ahmed has struggled to get in the Rovers team making just 7 appearances since joining the club in 2007.

The Pakistan international has already been loaned out to non league side Mansfield Town this season impressing for the Stags. However after returning less then 2 weeks ago to Rovers the creative midfielder was sent out on trial to Port Vale and has now joined the club for a month.

Vale manager Dean Glover told the clubs official website:

‘We took a look at him at close quarters last week and feel he can do a job for us. He is a good footballer, but unfortunately he hasn’t been getting in at Tranmere.

We feel he can do a job for us. We are always looking to improve our game and having seen him in training we have decided to take it a step further.’

www.tranmere.vitalfootball.co.uk would like to wish Adnan Ahmed the best of luck during his time at Port Vale.

Has hit a snag now Rovers want to send him out for 3 months, not 1 – however Vale can’t afford to pay 3 months wage unless Tranmere pay half..

He was on the bench today, so obviously has not completed move.
