Tranmere boss Les Parry has strengthened his squad by signing out of favour Leeds United midfielder Andy Robinson.

It was believed Rovers were close to signing the Birkenhead born player in January, however financial difficulties took place.

‘Robbo has only made one first team start this season for Leeds which was against Darlington in the Johnston`s Paint Trophy.

He started his career with Tranmere but off the field issues give then boss Ray Mathias no choice but to release him. However since being released he became a huge hit for Swansea and guided them to two promotions, and become a fan favourite in South Wales.

Manager Les Parry told www.tranmererovers.co.uk :

‘Andy is a classy player who has great vision, can score goals and create chances for others”

Robinson will go straight into the squad for the Brighton game.
