It has been announced that Max Blanchard will be out for a short period of time, believed to be approximately six weeks, with an ankle injury.

A challenge in Rovers friendly against Wrexham on Tuesday has left the Frenchman in a boot after snapping ligaments.

Tim Cathalina is also thought to be ruled out for a few games after limping off on Saturday’s 2-1 win against Carlisle, leaving boss Les Parry short of cover at full-back.

Sunderland right-back Michael Kay has been signed on an emergency one-month loan and will available for Saturday’s game against Walsall.
