West Brom loanee Lateef Elford-Allyu will miss the final 10 games of Tranmere’s 2011/11 season after fresh scans showed irritations in his knee injury.
Talking to Tranmere’s official site, Les Parry praised the youngster for his contribution, as well as hinting on the possibility of a new arrival: ‘It’s a massive loss as he’s done really well for us and we’ll really miss him.
‘That leaves us a little bit thin up top and we need to be looking at bringing a striker in today. I’ve put some calls in this morning to find out availability and we’ll be trying to do that all day.
‘We’re not bringing someone in just to fill a space, if we don’t get the right person we’re quite happy with what we’ve got. The problem is if we pick up any more injuries.’
