Former Tranmere Rovers Defender, Michael Johnston, who played on loan at Welsh Premier club Bangor last season has been signed by their manager Neville Powell. Johnston not only took Powell and the rest of the Bangor squad by storm during his time on loan at Farrar Road, but he also impressed opposition players, managers and fans. This was highlighted both by the two award Johnston picked up at the end of the season and by the number of clubs Chasing his signature.

‘Michael could have gone to other clubs for more money but has enjoyed his time with Bangor and wants to be part of the exciting future at Farrar Road,’ said Powell.

It seems that although being released last week by The Rovers, things have changed for the up and Johnston is now looking forward to a European adventure for next season, something whichI am sure he had never imagined he would be doing this time last season.

On what basis is it the equivelant of the Northern Premier? The major factor I think is the fact that he is in the shop window, playing first team football in Europe. Not many lads his age can boast that in any team in the coutry.
