Shotton is signed for a month

The tall centre back from Stoke City, Ryan Shotton, has joined Ronnie Moore’s ranks for a month. Shotton goes straight into Moore’s squad to travel to Northampton tomorrow (Saturday).

Shotton has been on loan at non-league Altringham previously and in that time was scorng nearly a goal every seven games.

It is thought that the reason for adding Shotton to the ranks is because Antony Kay is now comfortabley place in the centre of misdield and Ian Goodison will be missing the next two matches on international duty. Some Rovers fans are beginning to question the signing of Luke Waterfall who is a young centre back much like Shotton. Why does it appear that he is not being given the chance to play at centre back?
