Carl Tremaco, who plays for Wrexham, has just signed a new two year deal with the North Wales club. Tremaco joined the Conference side in January after Wrexham agreed to buy out the remaining few months on his contract at Tranmere. His spell in Wales proved to be good enough to convince former Rovers boss, Brian Little, to offer him new and extended terms. It is reported that there were some League Two clubs sniffing around Tremaco. One of those clubs is alleged to have been Chester City.

Paul Linwood has been at Chester City for two years, since being released by Tranmere Rovers. Linwood’s initial contract had the option of a third year being added on his original deal if the club wished to do so. However, with some League One clubs trying to capture the young centre back’s signature, Chester City decided to offer his a fresh two year deal. On of the clinching factors in the new contract, according to Linwood, was the promise of the captain`s arm-band. Linwood was already wearing the arm-band on a temporary basis towards the end of last season as Paul Butler (just released by Chester) was frozen out of first team duties there.
