Charlie Barnett tok the next step in a bid to secure a first team place for next season finishing off a superb team move with a stylish finish. The 19 year old new boy was the difference this afternoon at Prenton Park recieving a helping hand off of a former team mate. A mistake from Adam Hammill, the Blackpool winger, allowed Rovers to fly up field with a magnificent counter attack.
The match was marred by an injury to Pool new boy Daniel Nardello who limped off after 72 minutes having only been on the pitch for 7 minutes.
The result and performance seems to indicate that the Rovers are on the right track for August 9th by beating opposiion from the championship, but Ronnie will know his work is only just begining with a long season stratching out before him and the rest of the Rovers staff. If promotion is to be possible, every one will have to pull together in an extremely strong division.
