Former Tranmere manager Ronnie Moore looks set for a return to Rotherham.

Moore, 56 was sacked by Rovers in July 2009 and has since been without a club. Ronnie is red-hot favourite to replace Mark Robins who is to become the new Barnsley boss.

During Rotherham’s 3-1 win at home to Chesterfield yesterday the Millers fans were signing throughout the game about bringing back Moore.

Ronnie spent 8 years as manager as Rotherham and guided them to successive promotions before leaving for Oldham in 2005.

Vital Tranmere have been told by reliable sources that he has applied for the Vacancy at the Don Valley Stadium.
