Tranmere travel to former European Champions Leeds United with both teams fighting for a play off place.

Tranmere manager Ronnie Moore told the club’s official website before the game:

‘It’s a massive game for both clubs. Everyone is talking about us, Scunthorpe and Southend for the sixth spot, but if we win this game it really opens it up.

Whilst Leeds United manager Simon Grayson said:

‘It’s a big game and we know if we win it we more or less cement our place in the play-offs, and we want to get that over and done with.

Leeds Team News:

Youngster Fabian Delph is suspended for the match whilst top scorer Jermaine Beckford will have a late fitness test.

Player to watch: Andrew Robinson

Andy Robinson – The former Tranmere man will be looking to prove a point to Rovers fans and has scored against Rovers 3 times during his time at Swansea.

Tranmere Team News:

Chris Shuker and Leeds fan Chris Greenacre will be out with injury, however Greenacre could be back for next weeks game versus Yeovil Town.

Ian Goodison begins a four-match ban after being sent of at home to Hereford on Monday which could see Tranmere captain Antony Kay be moved to centre back.

Player to watch: Ian Moore

Ian Moore – The former Leeds striker seems to have a habit of scoring against his former club as last year on his début for Rovers he scored his first goal ironically against Leeds at Elland Road, since then Moore also scored a screamer when Leeds came to Prenton Park which proved to be the winning goal, Rovers won that day 2-1. Moore will most definitely be hungry again to prove a point.
